Some photos from a short trip to see the King's Cross to Lincoln railtour which was originally planned for 70013 'Oliver Cromwell' to be hauling it but had to be replaced by two West Coast Railway diesels (57601 & 47786) at the last minute.

I aim for this collection to have a good picture of every 319 from 319001 to 319460. This will obviously take a while but I will finish it. In some places there maybe 2 or 3 of the same unit, this is because I want to show the same unit but represented in different liveries.

This trip was primarily to get the Grand Central HST on the 14:05 York - King's Cross and 16:50 King's Cross - Sunderland. A video was had at Alexandra Palace so photos can be seen of 43067 & 43080 and its set King's Cross plus other bits and bobs.

After last year's success of 'The Yorkshireman' railtour the tour was repeated this year. 71000 'Duke of Gloucester' was booked for the trip but failed at Cambridge on 9th December due to problems with the tubes. Therefore, 60009 was called in to replace it. Here are some photos from the trip, the videos will appear in due time on my video site; the link is at the top of this page.

Here are some photos of my holiday in Switzerland in Easter 2006. They will mainly consist of photos around the Ticino region and around Brunnen on the Gotthard. This collection will be updated during the holiday.

Seeing as the weather was good. I decided I would go out and get some photos of the last day of operation for 'Thameslink'. 'First Capital Connect' will take over from 1st April. Thameslink have done a great job and it will be sad to see them go.

I went up to Rannoch and stayed in the hotel there for 2 nights. While I was there I travelled on the sleeper from Rannoch to Fort William and then the B1 from Fort William to Mallaig and back.

37s are due to be replaced by 67s on 11th June 2005 on the Caledonian Sleeper.
UPDATE: 37s are still going strong on the sleepers so ride on them while you can!
2nd UPDATE: The 37s gave way to 67 power on 10th June 2006 with the last booked 37 hauled sleeper running on 9th June.
